Kwa Nokeng Lodge, Sherwood - Night 0 & 1
Translated from the local language, Setswana, Kwa Nokeng means ‘at the river’. Apptly so, as we overlook the majestic Limpopo River with splendid views of indigenous trees, incredible bird-life and hippo’s loafing in the water. You might even spot a crocodile basking in the sun.
Kwa Nokeng Lodge is the perfect place for a relaxed ‘stop-over’ on your journey into the hinterland. Have a dip in the swimming pool to cool off and then share stories, make new friends with fellow travellers around the ‘mokoro’ bar and enjoy dinner under the huge Mashutu tree (Nyala Berry) before retiring for a well-deserved rest. Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the Lodge before departure.
