Over time, the planned route has been adapted to create new routes and paths, just for your enjoyment. New farms have opened up their lands for us to cross, for which we are truly grateful for! Even though the route has slightly changed, the new green and lush terrain makes it more exciting for those adventure-seeking riders and drivers who are thrilled to adventure through. You can expect quite a bit of riding in reserves as well, which makes the journey unique.
One of the most exciting developments has been the permission granted by the Department of National Museum and Monuments for us to start the Giants Adventure Rally at the Tropic of Capricorn Monument, 138km outside of Gaborone.
Day one will start at 8:30 am with a short meeting and an opportunity for photos at the monument. The start of the first bike will be at 9:00 am. Participants will make their way along tribal land and then into the Mahalapye River for approximately 20km. Beautiful tracks will take you to the Selika Hills with the final stop at Kwa Nokeng Lodge where you will get a well-deserved rest before the next day’s expedition.
The day is made up of 3 special stages, with a total distance of 212km. Small kopjes, nutrient-rich grasses, beautiful reflecting water, and splashing of mud everywhere is the order of the day!
The further I travel,
the closer i am to myself
