Accommodation Costs
We have truly found some special gems for us to stay at along our amazing trek from Gaborone to the Tuli Block!
Our first night is at Bush Babies Botswana a hunting and safari lodge near Machaneng. They have limited built accommodation so we are building a full fly camp here. Each tent supplied by Muddy Face Botswana will have two single beds with linen, two camping chairs and a private bucket shower (with hot water). At this camp, please make sure you book your meals, as they do not have a restaurant. And please bring some snacks for kids to eat, as there will only be dinner and breakfast available.
Night two is on the Limpopo River at Kwa Nokeng Lodge. Translated from the local language, Setswana, Kwa Nokeng means ‘at the river’. Apptly so, as they overlook the majestic Limpopo River with splendid views of indigenous trees, incredible bird-life and hippo’s loafing in the water. You might even spot a crocodile basking in the sun.
Have a dip in the swimming pool to cool off and then share stories, make new friends with fellow travellers around the ‘mokoro’ bar and enjoy dinner under the huge Mashutu tree (Nyala Berry) before retiring for a well-deserved rest. Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the Lodge before departure.
At Kwa Nokeng Lodge, you can order from an A’ La Carte menu or book the buffet dinners and breakfasts. Kids can also choose off the kiddies menu.
Night three is deep within the Tuli Block at Kwadiwa Ranch Lodge. Kwadiwa Ranch is a newly built Safari Lodge situated on the bank of the majestic Limpopo River, cradled in the heart of the wild Tuli Block of Botswana, near Bainsdrift.
There is a beautiful swimming pool with a kiddies pool as well. There are large lawns creating a truly magic experience. They have activities for the whole family to enjoy, including boat cruises, game drives and night drives.
