From Gaborone
Head to Francistown. Once in Francistown, take the off ramp towards the airport, just after passing the Game Shopping Center. Head out on the A3 towards Nata/Kasane. Soon after passing the Francistown Internatinal Airport on your left, you will come to the Orapa turn off. Turn left onto the A30 towards Borolong/Jamatake/Orapa. Travel approximately 100km on the A30, until you reach a small village, Mokubilo. There is a filling station on your right called Mokubilo Filling Station, THERE IS NO FUEL HERE. From Mokubilo, you follow the signs to another very small village called Mmea, it is approximately 30km on a good dirt road. Once in Mmea, you will need to follow our orange day glow markers to get you to the 2023 site.
From Francistown

From Maun
Head on the A3 towards Francistown, then turn right towards Motopi heading towards Xhumaga and onto Rakops. Continue through Mopipi and onto Letlhakane. Then head towards Francistown. Once you reach the A30, turn right towards Francistown. Travel along this road, through a vet fence and then onto Mokubilo where you will find a filling station on your left, Mokubilo Filling Station. THERE IS NO FUEL HERE. From Mokubilo, you follow the signs to another very small village called Mmea, it is approximately 30km on a good dirt road. Once in Mmea, you will need to follow our orange day glow markers to get you to the 2023 site.
FOLLOW THE ORANGE MARKERS
You can get to the pans in a small vehicle, the road is fine through to Thlapana Gate, after that, it does get a bit bumpy, but you can still do it without a 4×4. The only thing you need a 4×4 for is to do the adventure trails and exploration on the pans.
